Facebook’s rules for years have banned even family photos of lightly clothed children uploaded with “good intentions,” concerned about how others might abuse such images. With the increase, NCMEC said it is working with Facebook to develop software to decide which tips to assess first.Facebook’s global head of safety Antigone Davis told Reuters in an interview that the “machine helps us prioritise” and “more efficiently queue” problematic content for the company’s trained team of reviewers. Machine learning programs that sift through the billions of pieces of content users post each day are essential to its plan.Machine learning is imperfect, and news agencies and advertisers are among those that have complained this year about Facebook’s automated systems wrongly blocking their posts. The child grooming system evaluates factors such as how many people have blocked a particular user and whether that user quickly attempts to contact many children, Davis said.

Facebook has not previously disclosed data on child nudity removals, though some would have been counted among the 21 million posts and comments it removed in the first quarter for  activity and adult nudity.Still, DeLaune acknowledged that a crucial blind spot is encrypted chat apps and secretive “dark web” sites where much of new child  originates. The company is exploring applying the same technology to its Instagram app.The machine learning tool rolled out over the last year identifies images that contain both nudity and a child, allowing increased enforcement of Facebook’s ban on photos that show minors in a ***ualised context.Facebook said the programme, which learned from its collection of nude adult photos and clothed children photos, has led to more removals.Encryption of mesغير مجاز مي باشدes on Facebook-owned WhatsApp, for example, prevents machine learning from analysing them.A similar system also disclosed on Ultrasonic Cutting Machine Manufacturers Wednesday catches users engaged in “grooming,” or befriending minors for ***ual exploitation. Before the new software, Facebook relied on users or its adult nudity filters to catch child images.Davis said the child safety systems would make mistakes but users could appeal.

This brilliant move was initiated by Devleena S Majumder, President – People and Culture at Culture Machine, where 36 per cent of the workforce is female. In fact, the video “First Day of Period Leave”, capturing the candid reactions of female employees when informed about the news, was also shot by a male colleague. “Why are we always running behind equality? Let’s not even recount the awkward excuses women have often had to make up to take leave on their first days, often giving up their sick leaves.

Culture Machine’s channel ‘Blush’ has been generating content that celebrates being a woman and has big names like Kalki Koechlin on their bandwagon.org has already received over 27,000 signatures and is garnering more support as we speak. And no, it is not a sick leave. The quirky entertainment company however has a unique stand on that. Devleena has been hearing terrible stories of first-day-woes from colleagues, friends and family all her life. With this, India joined a list of countries like Japan, Taiwan, Italy, some of which already have FOP leaves enshrined in their labour laws. We must celebrate the difference instead of negating it,” said Devleena. Culture Machine introduced First Day of Period Leave for its female employees. So we thought, if our channel could talk about bold female issues, why can’t we walk the talk and do something about this basic issue?” she said.Armed with this idea, Devleena approached the organisation heads who were at once on-board! And with that, Culture Machine became the first Indian company to extend this provision to female colleagues.

"Our ultimate goal, should research support it, is to spread the use of the machine learning technology to schools in the future to augment structures, professional judgment to more efficiently and effectively prevent school violence," said Barzman. The machine learning algorithm that the researchers developed achieved an accuracy rate of 91. The students, as it turned out, were relatively equally divided between moderate- to high-risk, and low-risk, according to two scales that the team developed and validated in previous research."Our risk assessments were focused on predicting any type of physical aggression at school. The researchers found that machine learning—the science of getting computers to learn over time without human intervention—is as accurate as a team of child and adolescent psychiatrists, including a forensic psychiatrist, in determining risk for school violence. There were significant differences in total scores between the high-risk and low-risk groups

The solid waste stays on the bottom while the liquid rises to the top.4 billion people around the world still live in unsanitary conditions.Next, water passes through specially designed bundles that help condense the vapour into actual water, which flows down through the tube and settles in a tank at the front of the toilet.indy100.The waterless and easy-to-use Nano Membrane is meant to offset this scarcity. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation awarded 0,000 for the development of a revolutionary waterless toilet.Alison Parker, a lecturer in International Water and Sanitation at Cranfield Water Science Institute, says her team’s new design is meant to serve poor urban areas, as those will be easiest to accommodate.

There it’s coated in a scent-suppressing wax and left to dry out.Researchers will use the money to continue developing the lab prototype of the Nano Membrane Toilet, as developers at Cranfield University call it, and begin field trials in Africa. Four years after the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation awarded 0,000 for the development of a revolutionary waterless toilet, the technology has received a second financial boost.“The toilet will be used in dense urban areas where a number of factors make providing good sanitation very challenging, Parker told Business Insider in March, after receiving the 0,000, “but where it would be possible to facilitate visits from a maintenance technician. While claiming that the machine used by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to expose the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) rigging is not the same which the Election Commission (EC) uses, the Congress Party on Tuesday slammed the former saying it has belittled and weakened the whole case against the tampering row.Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit said this is Automatic Shank Button Feeder Manufacturer nothing but just a diversionary tactic of the AAP."The machine which he has used is not an EVM the Election Commission uses. The ones I have voted for have a different structure and if it's not the same machine, then the demonstration is invalid. What AAP has done is that it has belittled and weakened the whole case against EVMs," Dikshit told ANI.Dikshit said Kejriwal and his party believe him to be a demi-God but he is not even a decent honest human being."They have always diverted large issues. When the corruption thing has come, they have gone to EVMs. When they could not govern Delhi, it was the LG's problem. I think, Kejriwal and his party think that he is the tenth avatar of Vishnu, because it is only Vishnu who cannot make mistakes.

They believe he is almost a demi-God. I think, he is not even a decent, honest human being. He and his party are a bunch of jokers," he added.Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shazia Ilmi alleged that Kejriwal is doing this in order to pre-empt the order of the Election Commission in the office of profit matter against him."Kejriwal is doing it essentially because he can pre-empt the order that will come from the EC where the office of profit matter of these 20 MLAs is pending. He knows he has done something wrong. He knows, he himself and his MLAs have been greedy which is why 21 of them were made parliamentary secretary besides the fact that they were already MLAs and both are offices of profit. To run away from that, he is now using this EVM story to pre-empt what the EC will do. So that if the order does not come in his favour, then he can say that I already told you that the EC is indulging in politics of vendetta," Dikshit told ANI.The Election Commission earlier in the day said the AAP demonstrated in Delhi Assembly on prototype Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and not on Election Commission of India Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), sources said.

This comes after AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj earlier in the day at a special assembly session of the Delhi Assembly demonstrated how EVMs can be manipulated. He showed how simple it was for an engineering graduate such as himself to rig a voting machine, and challenged scientists to prove him wrong.AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal had blamed the party's loss in Punjab to the rigging of voting machines.Bhardwaj, who told the assembly that he had a BTech degree in computer science and that he had worked on microprocessors and micro-controllers, said, "An ordinary engineering graduate like me can manipulate an EVM by working on it for just 10 to 15 days."Conducting a mock poll on an EVM machine, Bhardwaj demonstrated how despite giving two votes each to various parties, the final count showed that the votes of some parties had been transferred to one party. He said this was possible with a secret code that is assigned to every constituency. Bhardwaj claimed that before voting begins the election officials show that everything is done fairly but after 10 am, they activate the code, which ensures that all votes cast thereafter would go to a particular candidate."All it takes to rig an EVM is to change the motherboard. All it takes is 90 seconds. It's outrageous," Bhardwaj said, explaining that a 'manipulator' enters the polling booth early into voting and enters a unique secret code that ensures all votes polled thereafter would go to a selected candidate.

A contractor weighs a bundle of grass that members of the Katkari tribe from Palghar district cut in exchange of `80 per quintal. (Photo: Debashish Dey)Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis gave an assurance on Monday that the cutting of grass in tribal areas would be listed as a bona fide profession under the state Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS). On Sunday, The Asian Age had reported how grass-cutting — which helps them earn Rs 80 per quintal per day — is the only regular source of income that tribal people in Palghar district have. Now, once grass-cutting becomes a part of the EGS, a worker will be able to earn around Rs 182 a day. EGS minister Jaykumar Rawal, too, said that the work would be included in the newly-launched Samruddha Maharashtra Jankalyan Yojana. Plus, women and child development minister Pankaja Munde, while speaking with this newspaper, said that all eight departments China ball button feeder related to the issue of malnutrition in Palghar need to be converged in order to effectively combat the societal menace.

Ms Munde added that she had discussed this idea with public health minister Dr Deepak Sawant. “It will take time to create a separate mechanism (to address the issues tribal people face). In the meantime, the grass-cutting work that scheduled tribes in Palghar district undertake to meet their daily expenses should be included in the EGS scheme,” Ms Munde said. She added that she would follow up on her proposal with the state cabinet for its final approval.Meanwhile, taking cognisance of The Asian Age reports on malnutrition published on Sunday, Mr Fadnavis said: “The grass-cutting work performed by the poorest-of-the-poor Katkari tribe and other scheduled tribe communities would be included in the EGS.”

Mr Rawal — who had introduced Samruddha Maharashtra Jankalyan Yojana at Sahyadri guesthouse in the presence of the chief minister — said that he would do whatever was in his power to make earning opportunities available for tribal people.Mr Rawal — who was the chairman of the state EGS committee prior to being inducted as a cabinet minister before the monsoon session — said: “We have introduced a new scheme, which will change the fortunes of rural Maharashtra. We will include grass cutting by tribal people in this scheme, so that they can earn a healthy amount.” He added that he had prepared a draft of the EGS, adding: “I want to bring changes in the EGS so that we can provide money for those jobs that have a demand among workers. If tribal people from Palghar district have no work other than grass cutting, and if they are exploited by the contractors, the job will be included in the EGS.”
